The Chariton County Historical Society along with "Jacob's Ladder" Cemetery Restoration Specialists is sponsoring a project called "Adopt a Stone" to help preserve old tombstones in Chariton County cemeteries.  To 'adopt' a stone, one pays for the cost of the restoration completed by David Snyder of "Jacob's Ladder".  Partial adoption payments are also accepted and appreciated. Perhaps your club or organization would be interested in adopting a stone to help preserve a part of Chariton County history.  "Jacob's Ladder" donates 10% of the received payment to the appropriate cemetery.  Please CONTACT US for more information.
