Death Records


The following resources are available for your use in the genealogy library:

  • Index of deaths 1883-1887 (actual record can be found in County Clerk's office)
  • Some copies of death certificates 1910 - 1960's (found in basement of former Berry Funeral Home in Salisbury)
  • Cemetery transcriptions
  • Funeral home records:  McLaughlin, Heisel, Carr, Garnett-Hyde, Winkelmeyer, Berry
  • Obituaries - some from late 1800's to current
  • Funeral cards
  • Photographs of several county cemeteries (a work in progress)
